The Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement with free agent outfielder David Peralta on a one-year, $6.5 million deal, while also adding right-hander Alex Reyes on a one-year, $1.1 million deal, multiple outlets reported.

Peralta, 35, split the 2022 season with Arizona and Tampa Bay and batted .251 with 12 homers and 59 RBIs in 134 games. He is a career .281/.339/.457 hitter with 110 homers and 486 RBIs in 1,008 games with the Diamondbacks (2014–22) and Rays.

Peralta won a Gold Glove in left field in 2019. He led the National League with 10 triples in 2015 and led the majors with eight triples in 2021.

Reyes, 28, has five years of experience with the St. Louis Cardinals and was an All-Star for the first time in 2021, but he did not pitch last season after undergoing shoulder surgery.

Over 101 career appearances (seven starts), Reyes is 16–11 with a 2.86 ERA. In his All-Star season of 2021, he was 10–8 with a 3.24 ERA as he took over at closer with 29 saves in a career-best 69 appearances.

According to mlb.com, Reyes’ contract includes a $3 million club option for 2024, as well as performance incentives that could be worth as much as $10 million.
