Disabled military veterans ski down the slope on mono-skis March 29 in Snowmass Village, Colo. More than 350 U.S. military veterans are taking part in the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic held between March 25 and March 30 in Snowmass. The clinic is co-sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Disabled American Veterans. It teaches winter sports with the aim to motivate veterans with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic amputations, visual impairments, and neurological problems to heal physically and mentally.
