After U.S. President Donald Trump was admitted to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to be treated for COVID-19, people from all over the United States travelled there to express their support. In a live coverage, The Epoch Times interviewed people of all ethnicities, including Chinese immigrants from New York. People gathered outside the medical center with their sleeping bags, tents, along with a large number of media on the scene.
I wonder if Chinese leader Xi Jinping and his top-ranking officials have seen this spontaneous and sincere support from the public. It is absolutely different from the arranged audiences frequently set up during officials’ inspection tours in China for publicity purposes.
I hope Xi will wake up from his
dream to make China great. The strength of a nation comes from the wholehearted support of the people and that’s what makes America great—it’s not merely a slogan.
Xi and his top officials should hear the voices of the Chinese people gathered at the medical center. They support a president who truly cares for the people, and they hope people can vote for their own president in China.
Is the CCP leadership still counting on Democratic
presidential candidate Joe Biden? Judging by the number of Trump supporters who showed up at the medical center, Trump’s voter base is quite strong.
Meanwhile, the CCP should ask itself, how long will they be able to stay in power?
When half of China was covered by
torrential flooding and the northeast was hit by
typhoons, top CCP officials simply turned a blind eye and hid themselves. How can they claim to represent the people of China?
When the CCP
continues to persecute Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, Tibetans, ethnic Mongolians in Inner Mongolia, Falun Gong adherents, and other religious groups and dissidents, they should learn that their brutal actions have already determined their fate in history.
Those who showed support for Trump showed the top CCP officials what the real public opinion in America is.
