Taylor Swift forced organizers to remove Jessica Hart from the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, according to a new report, although a different report says the claim isn’t true.
Swift returned to perform at the show at Earl’s Court in London, but allegedly made the demand that Hart not strut the runway.
“It’s not been announced that Jessica is not walking, but it was a direct request from Taylor that this be the case if she were to go,” a source told the New York Daily News.
“No one can know that Taylor requested Ms. Hart not be in the show; they want to keep that under wraps but that’s the facts.”
The source said that Swift “had her team remove the model from the spectacular runway show before they'd even start to negotiate.”
However, Gossip Cop says that the story isn’t true.
“Oh, how convenient for the Daily News! That means no one can ever say this rumor is BOGUS, because it’s all supposed to be very hush-hush. And the tabloid newspaper gets to publish some easy catfight gossip,” the blog said.
“None of this is true. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show only has a handful of models participating. It so happens that Hart is not expected to be among them this year. Her absence has NOTHING to do with Swift.”
A source close to the production added, “There’s zero truth to this.”
The News said that Swift is still upset about a perceived dig that Hart made after last year’s show in New York, when the model said: “God bless her (Taylor Swift’s) heart. I think she’s great. But, I don’t know, to me, she didn’t fit. I don’t know if I should say that.”
Hart later told Vogue Australia that the comments were “taken out of context.”
