Sigmo is an extremely handy device for travelers who have tough time communicating in foreign lands. Created by developers based in California, it is a real-time language translator that lets you to talk and understand other languages almost instantaneously.

You set the native language and then the language to be translated. By pressing a button and speaking, Sigmo translates in the language you have selected. By pressing a second button, it will record, translate, and instantly convey what has been spoken to your native language.

The device is compact and works by connecting with your smartphone relying on existing online services like Google translation. It works in real-time.

Developers are currently working on a model that can work offline. Sigmo works with 25 languages and more are expected in future.

The Indiegogo project has raised close to $250,000, surpassing its initial goal of $15,000.
