A video that’s gone viral showing that bank robbers getting away in a car while police watched in Detroit is fake.

The video, which was posted in 2009, was being shared again en masse this week.

It’s been shared as World’s Dumbest Cops“ or ”Dumbest Cops in the World,” but it’s a fake.

The video shows masked men carrying bags out of a building and getting into a car before speeding off. All the the while, police are watching and don’t do anything.

The video footage was taken by an observer during a 2008 Chevy Malibu advertisement.
