Company President and CEO Eric Hirshberg said that Destiny could be Activision’s third billion dollar franchise.
Access to the public beta is being provided for people who pre-order the game at certain retailers.
In the United States, this is Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop, and Walmart.
The game is selling for $60.
It’s slated for a full release on September 9, 2014.
The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where human civilization once spanned across the solar system.
However, humans are now relegated to one last safe city.
