Pinterest is the ideal place for sharing visual products and creative design ideas. Visual inspiration is the order of the day on this social network. When it comes to creating a home design board on Pinterest, your options are limitless. There are plenty of ways that you can create a design board that is interesting and engaging –the type of board that people want to follow. Here are three ideas to help you get started.

DIY Boards

Many people who are on Pinterest are there to find a picture to match with an idea that they have. Often, they have a project in mind and are looking for a way to carry it out. Having a DIY board that contains how-to’s for popular projects is a great way to get your Pinterest account off to a good start.

Quick and Easy Boards

Sharing fast and simple home design ideas is another great idea for a Pinterest board. Many Pinterest users are looking for ideas that they can execute themselves, and results that they can feel good about. Don’t disappoint. Be sure to include plenty of quick and easy tips that come with high-quality images to help make the projects self-explanatory.

Inspirational Boards

A lot of people head over to Pinterest for inspiration. Make your Pinterest boards stand out with by pinning plenty of interesting and unique inspirational ideas. Give your followers something they didn’t know they wanted.

Don’t forget to follow other Pinterest boards –especially boards related to your niche. This will help give you more ideas and following others will encourage them to follow you back. If you’re using Pinterest as a business account, keep in mind that your goal should be to provide your followers with inspiration –not to sell them products. So keep it genuine, and share ideas that are interesting to you. Your followers will appreciate you for it.
