A petition to the White House to deport Justin Bieber back to Canada has garnered more than 88,000 signatures.

The petition asks the White House to deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card.

“We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture,” it says. “We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.”

The petition needs only slightly over 11,000 more signatures to be considered by the White House.

Bieber is living in the United States on an O-1 visa, issued to anyone with “extraordinary ability or achievement” in their field, including the arts, reported the Hollywood Reporter.

He can be deported if he gets convicted of an aggravated offense, but probably won’t end up getting deported through the petition.

Still, lots of people would like to see him go. Besides the petition, the hashtag “deportbieber” trended on Twitter following the singer’s alleged DUI arrest last week. That arrest likely won’t affect Bieber’s immigration status.

He’s also under investigation for an egging incident in his Calabasa, California neighborhood. That incident likely will not affect the status either.
