A gunman was walking around shooting people in southwest Denver on August 16, causing the Denver Police Department to tell residents to stay inside their homes.

Police Chief Robert White said that police officers shot the gunman after he began shooting at a propane tank that had gunpowder on top of it. The suspect is in critical condition at Denver Health Medical Center.

One victim that the man shot is dead and another is injured. Both are female. Their identites haven’t been released yet.

The shooter was walking around the 2200 block of South Irving Street.

There were multiple propane tanks with gunpowder on top of them and a possible grenade found in the area. A bomb squad was called in to handle the tanks.
