Deniece Cornejo shared a jail cell at Camp Crane with 14 others after she surrendered to police in the Vhong Navarro case.

Cornejo shared a plywood mat with a fellow detainee.

Cornejo will spend five more days as a detainee of the Anti-Transnational Crime Unit at Camp Crane, reported the Philippine Inquirer.

The model is facing a range of charges in the Navarro case after she, Cedric Lee, and others allegedly set up Navarro, beat him, and tried to extort money from him.

Cornejo appeared at the Taguig Regional Trial Court following her surrender. The court committed Cornejo to the Bureau of Jail and Management, while Cornejo’s legal team filed a motion to reverse the court’s decision.

“While the court has yet to approve her motion, it issued a status quo ‎order, indicating that Cornejo will have to stay at the ATCU cell for five days,” the Inquirer reported.

Cornejo on Tuesday refused to enter a plea at the court, which ended up entering a not guilty plea on her behalf, Navarro’s lawyer Alma Mallonga told GMA.

Cornejo’s petition for bail will be heard on May 16.
