Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee, and Roxanne Cabanero were all sued for perjury by Vhong Navarro.

Navarro has been accused of raping Cornejo and Cabanero but so far the evidence in the cases appear to point to his innocence.

Lee allegedly helped conspire with Cornejo, along with Lee’s sister Bernice Lee and others, to frame Navarro and try to blackmail him. That incident happened on January 22.

Navarro, 37, filed separate complaints in the two separate cases.

Cabanero claims that Navarro raped her in 2010 but she only came forward because she gained courage from Cornejo’s lawsuit against Navarro.

Navarro’s lawsuit in Manila against Cornejo and her group says they should be penalized for “demonstrable falsehoods,” his lawyer Alma Mallonga told reporters.

“Based on evidence, it’s very clear that what they said are perjurious. They themselves are contradicting each other. We used what one respondent said to show that what the other said was not true,” Mallonga said, reported the Philippine Inquirer.

Lee and Cornejo and the others allegedly changed their story multiple times after new evidence emerged, including crucial CCTV footage from the apartment building.

Among the evidence was also reportedly text messages from Lee demanding money from Navarro.

Navarro was backed up in Pasig City against Cabanero by three former members of the dance group Streetboys, as well as his friend Vice Ganda, who confirmed his alibi for the evening that Cabanero claims the ABS-CBN host raped her.

They said that he was performing at a concert with them until 1 a.m. Cabanero claims the rape happened between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m.

“We are just exercising our rights, which we think will protect Vhong, and telling those who are maligning him that we are not taking this sitting down,”  Mallonga said.
