Demi Lovato is in love with Wilmer Valderrama and she wants him to propose to her sometime before the end of the year, a friend says.
Lovato, 22, and Valderrama, 34, are a notoriously private couple, but the alleged friend opened up about their relationship in a new interview.
“They are getting beyond serious,” the unnamed friend told Radar Online.
“I saw them recently and she looks so happy and in love. In fact, she is hoping that he will ask her to marry him this year.”
Lovato and Valderrama have been surrounded by engagement rumors since they separately posted similar pictures holding a dog while wearing matching rings on their wedding ring fingers, but it seems that they aren’t engaged just yet.
“Demi says that Wilmer is her soul partner and she could never see herself with anyone else,” the friend said.
Though the pair basically never post pictures of themseleves together, Lovato recently made an exception since she’s on tour apart from Valderrama.
“I never post personal pictures like this but [expletive],” she said. “He is perfect. I miss my @wilmervalderrama.”
Meanwhile, Lovato and Olly Murs recently released their “Really Don’t Care” single.
Lovato is planning to release her next new album in 2015, with her manager telling Billboard last month that “She’s already done some songs, but certainly the majority of it will kick off next year.”
“She’s finishing up right now on the last leg of her touring for this year, and we finish it up with a couple of radio shows,” Lovato’s manager Phil McIntyre said. “Then the plan is for her to go back into the studio and start the next creative process.”
