At the half-way point in this short Hebe Haven Winter Saturday Series of 8-races Mojito, with a double first in the two races last Saturday Nov 16, has taken the lead in the IRC Division from Vixen and Talkinghead in equal second place.

Vixen slipped back due to a 6th place finish in Race-4, while Talkinghead, who finishing 4th and 2nd respectively in the two races closed the gap on Vixen.

With 1-discard allowable after six races and two discards available after seven races the top spots in IRC Division are still wide open.

HKPN

Tara is running away with the HKPN Division series by logging wins in all of the four races so far and she will be home and dry with another two good finishes.

The fight in this division is left for the minor places between Jazz (13 points), Kyte (17), and Bits & Pieces (18); but Goddess, who did not take part in Race Day-2, could also be a minor place contender if she takes part in the remaining races.

The two RHKYC Sports Boat races staged over the same courses and under the same Race Officer stewardship (Cathy Delaney-Hobbs) were both won by Stingray, with Black Magic taking two second places and Good Vibrations finishing third. A key omission from these races was Steve Bourne’s Merlin who lost her mast and rigging in the Round the Island Race last weekend.

Next Race

Hebe Haven Winter Saturday series continues on Saturday Nov 30.
