Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, has said vaccine passports are unacceptable in his state and that he would take executive action against them, adding that people shouldn’t need to prove they’ve been vaccinated to be able to “participate in normal society.”
New York became the first state to roll out a vaccine passport program, called the Excelsior Pass, after rolling it out on March 26 in partnership with IBM. In New York, you have to either test negative for COVID-19, the disease the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus causes, or get vaccinated to go to wedding receptions and other venues. “The first-in-the-nation Excelsior Pass heralds the next step in our thoughtful, science-based reopening,” said New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
