Deep Dive (June 1): MLB Sued for Moving All-Star Game Out of Georgia

Major League Baseball (MLB) is facing a lawsuit for moving the All-Star Game out of the Peach State earlier this year. A small business lobbying group, the Job Creators Network, filed the suit. It’s asking MLB and the players union to compensate Georgia businesses that won’t see revenue from the game. County officials estimated the move would cost the local economy some $100 million.

New documents submitted by Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich raise questions about the way Google handles users’ location data. They point to Google tracking users’ location even when location tracking has been disabled on smartphones.
