The “Death in Paradise” season three premiere hit record highs for the show this week.

“We’re thrilled that the Death In Paradise audience have taken new DI, Humphrey Goodman, to their hearts,” stated Tony Jordan, the show’s executive producer and co-founder of Red Planet Pictures. “Such strong ratings are a brilliant way to kick off the new series and we hope that audiences will continue to tune in to see Humphrey grow and develop in Saint Marie throughout the series.”

TVWise said that an average audience of 7.1 million viewers saw the episode on the BBC One.

SPOILER ALERT:

DI Richard Poole, played by Ben Miller, was replaced by Kris Marshall’s Humphrey Goodman.

Poole was effectively made his own final victim.
