The Washington, D.C. weather prediction for Tuesday includes snow.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory from 3 a.m. through 2 p.m. for D.C.

The snow will be “heavy at times” and the precipitation “may start as a period of sleet, especially south of Interstate 66 in Virginia and east of Interstate 95,” the service said.

Between three and five inches of snow is expected.

The temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s, while the winds will be five to 10 miles per hour, according to the projections.

The morning rush hour will be impacted by the snow.
