David Smith, a former driver for the late entertainer Jimmy Savile, was found dead in his home on Monday.
Police were called to the home and found Smith dead, sources told Sky News.
Smith was arrested as part of an investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
He had pleaded not guilty to two counts of indecent assault and two of gross indecency on a child in July, following his arrest.
A warrant was issued for his arrest earlier on Monday after he failed to appear in court.
