David Goldberg has been identified as the suspect in a stabbing on Thursday in the parking lot of Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, MD.

Goldberg, 24, has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of first degree assault, and two counts of second degree assault, the Montgomery County Police Department said.

The stabbing came after two drivers got into an argument at a stop sign on the road that circles the mall. One of the vehicles, later identified as Goldberg’s, nearly hit the other vehicle.

Both drivers got out of their vehicles in the parking lot and Goldberg allegedly stabbed a male and female who had been in the other vehicle, then got in his car and drove away.

Goldberg was located by detectives and arrested. He had his two-year-old daughter with him. He lives in Potomac.

The female victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, and the male victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
