Daryl and Carol have long been speculated to have an attraction between them and fans are wondering if there will be any romance in episode 6 of season 5 on Sunday night.

Daryl and Carol are practically the only characters in the episode, and will be alone for most of it.

SpoilerTV, which previewed the episode before it aired, says that Daryl and Carol will not be engaging in any romance.

“Carol and Daryl will share a bed together… But don’t get too excited, they’re still dressed and on their side of the bed,” it said.

The site did note, though, how close the pair are and how they respect and listen to each other.

“Carol and Daryl are quite close but it doesn’t mean they always share the same point of view. They will disagree on what to do in a specific situation. It will be a nice echo to something that happened before. But even if they have different views, they always listen to one another. That’s what so great about them, and that’s how they grow stronger,” it said.

Daryl and Carol have not spoken since Rick banished Carol and this episode gives them the opportunity to discuss some of the things that happened.

The preview reveals that they have at least three good discussions.

Walking Dead Death Spoilers: Noah and Tara Die in TWD Season 5, Rumors Say

They talk about what Carol did at the prison, why she did it and how she can recover from it and try to get back into the group.

Unfortunately for Daryl and Carol fans, it’s been basically confirmed that Carol gets hit by a car and then shuttled into the hospital where Beth is trapped, separating Daryl from yet another close friend and potential romantic partner.

Before that happens, Daryl and Carol meet Noah, who just escaped from the hospital with Beth’s help. The end of the recent episode where Daryl emerges from the woods and Michonne is just outside the church is the next thing on the timeline--when Daryl says “You can come out now,” he’s talking to Noah.

Noah and Daryl will then lead Rick, Michonne, Carl, Tyreese, Sasha, baby Judith, and possibly Father Gabriel to the hospital to try to rescue Beth and Carol.
