Mauricio Herrera will fight Danny Garcia on a night that will also feature Deontay Wilder vs. Malik Scott, Juan Manuel Lopez vs. Daniel Ponce De Leon, and Daniel Jacobs vs. Milton Nunez.

The fights will take place at Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on March 15. The Herrera-Garcia fight will be at 9 p.m. ET.

The fights will be broadcast on Showtime in the United States, BoxNation in the United Kingdom, and RPC Channel 4 locally. A live stream outside of Showtime because it’s pay per view.

Garcia, born in Philadelphia but with Puerto Rican roots, is trying to defend his WBA and WBC light welterweight championships against Herrera, also known as El Maestro.

Herrera is Mexican-American.

Garcia dominated Lucas Matthysse in his last fight.  If he wins this one, a future meeting with Floyd Mayweather Jr. could be in the cards, according to Bleacher Report.

Mayweather is scheduled to fight Marcos Rene Maidana in May. If both Garcia and Mayweather win, talk should heat up about them fighting.
