Daniel Sturridge doesn’t appear to have a girlfriend at this time, after he and model Jourdan Dunn broke up.

Sturridge, 24, and Dunn, 23, had started dating early this year.

The pair were trying to keep things on the down low for the sake of Dunn’s four-year-old son Riley. Dunn had her child with former boyfriend Jordan Cummings, who was jailed for cocaine possession when Riley was just a few weeks old.

“They have grown steadily close. But they have been keeping their relationship very quiet,” a source told The Sun.

“Jourdan has a young son and she’s always cautious about letting new men into her life.”

However, the relationship later appeared to go south. Pictures published in mid-May showed Sturridge with another woman in Miami, where he was taking a vacation before picking training back up for the World Cup.

A source told the Sunday People that Sturridge and Dunn are through.

“The relationship is over, both have moved on. It’s a shame as they got on really well but they just had too much going on. Jourdan will not be going to the World Cup,” the source said.

“Any plans that might have been made earlier are no longer. Daniel has another fledgling romance, so that girl may go instead. If not, he will go single. Both are a bit gutted but their careers are important and Jourdan’s four-year-old son is a priority.”

Sturridge has been relaxing alone some of the time, sharing a photo of himself in his hotel room along with a broken television.

“Just when I start getting into the game and it’s going off my tv starts acting up... I’m fuming right now!!!” he said one June 15.

He shared another photo several days later that showed a television properly playing one of the games, though it was unclear whether it was in the same room or whether he had sought company elsewhere.

“It’s crazy I’m still a fan watching the World Cup even though I’m playing,” he said. “Swear down I love my job...”
