Dancing With the Stars Season 19 2014: Cast List, Pictures, and Latest Rumors (With New Rehearsal Videos)

Dancing With the Stars season 19 is set to start soon, and new spoilers and rumors have been coming out.

The full cast list was announced earlier this month, and the blog Pure DWTS has rumors about which dances each duo performs at the first competition.

There’s also some new rumors out courtesy of reporter Kristyn Burtt, who has been video blogging about the upcoming season.

“Some of those contestants you expect to be really good aren’t doing so hot, and some of the contestants you think are gonna stink are doing really well,” she shared.

“It’s going to be a fun surprise for Monday’s show!”

And the Daily Mail obtained a video of some of the contestants rehearsing, including Alfonso Ribeiro.

Also included is their partners, and their rumored first dances. 

Jonathan Bennett (with Allison Holker)

Bennett is an actor who has appeared in movies including Mean Girls, Lovewrecked, and National Lampoon’s Van Wilder: Freshman Year.

 

Holker is an Emmy-nominated dancer and choregrapher who started her rise on season 2 of So You Think You Can Dance. She’s married to fellow dancer Stephen “tWitch” Boss.”

Bennett and Holker are rumored to be dancing the Jive in the first week.

Tommy Chong (with Peta Murgatroyd)

Chong is a comedian best known for being part of the team Cheech & Chong. He’s been an actor and an actor.

 

Murgatroyd is a famed dancer who was born in Auckland, New Zealand and studied classical ballet for many years.

Chong and Murgatroyd are rumored to be dancing the the Cha Cha Cha to Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot” in the first week.

Randy Couture (with Karina Smirnoff)

Couture is a retired mixed martial arts fighter who is in the Ultimate Fighting Championship Hall of Fame. More recently, he’s been in the three Expendables films.

Smirnoff is a talented dancer originally from Ukraine who moved to the U.S. at the age of 12. She started on DWTS on season 3.

Couture and Smirnoff are rumored to be dancing the Foxtrot to Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight” in the first week.

Betsey Johnson (with Tony Dovolani)

Johnson is a fashion icon who entered the world back in the 1960s.

Dovolani grew up performing Albanian folk dance and later immigrated to the United States as a political refugee from his native Kosovo. Tony trained at a Connecticut Fred Astaire dance studio and has held a number of roles, including coaching Jennifer Lopez and Richard Gere for the 2004 film Shall We Dance.

Johnson and Dovolani are rumored to be dancing the Cha Cha Cha in the first week.

Lolo Jones (with Keo Motsepe)

Jones is an Olympian in track and most recently appeared as a member of the U.S. Bobsled Team for the 2014 Games in Russia.

Motsepe is originally from South Africa, where he started dancing at age 5. He won every national title in South Africa with the help of his coach and mentor Rafick Joosain, and later became the first South African to join the “Burn the Floor” World Tour.

Jones and Motsepe are rumored to be dancing the Cha Cha Cha in the first week.

Bethany Mota (with Derek Hough)

Mota is one of the most famous YouTube stars. She doles out fashion and beauty advice on the social network.

Hough is the only five-time champion in DWTS franchise history so far. He started dancing at age 11 in Salt Lake City, soon moving to London to live and train with top dance coaches.

Mota and Hough are rumored to be dancing the Jive in the first week.

Janel Parrish (with Valentin Chmerkovskiy)

Parrish is best known as Mona in Pretty Little Liars, although her character was recently killed off.

Chmerkovskiy is often in the shadow of his brother but is a very talented dancer in his own right, being a 13-time US National Champion and two-time World Dance Champion.

Parrish and Chmerkovskiy are rumored to be dancing the Jive to “Bang, Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj in the first week.

Alfonso Ribeiro (with Witney Carson)

Ribeiro is best known for being Carlton Banks in Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Carson is a Utah native who started dancing at age three and who has learned many different dance styles, including Ballet, Tap, and Latin.

Riberio and Carson are rumored to be dancing the Jive in the first week.

Sadie Robertson (with Mark Ballas)

Sadie is the 17-year-old daughter of one of the couples who star in Duck Dynasty, and is also known as an athlete and Christian speaker.

Ballas is a choreographer, actor, and musician who has been on DWTS for 14 seasons, winning two times.

Robertson and Ballas are rumored to be dancing the Cha Cha Cha in the first week.

Antonio Sabato Jr. (with Cheryl Burke)

The model and former soap opera star currently lives in Los Angeles.

Burke is a star dancer who won seasons 2 (with Drew Lachey) and 3 (with Emmitt Smith) on DWTS.

Sabato and Burke are rumored to be dancing the Cha Cha Cha in the first week.

Tavis Smiley (with Sharna Burgess)

The late-night television host is also an accomplished author.

Burgess is an Australian native who started training in dance at the age of 5, and in ballroom at the age of 8.

Smiley and Burgess are rumored to be dancing the Foxtrot in the first week.

Lea Thompson (with Artem Chigvintsev)

Thompson is best known for being Lorraine McFly in the Back to the Future trilogy.

Chigvintsev, originally from Russia, was first on the UK version of DWTS, Strictly Come Dancing. He joins this year as the first time on DWTS as a pro.

Thompson and Chigvintsev are rumored to be dancing the Foxtrot in the first week.

Michael Waltrip (with Emma Slater)

Waltrip is a professional racecar driver.

Slater started dancing at the age of 5 in her hometown of Tamworth, England and at the age of 16 joined the cast of Simply Ballroom, touring the UK (Including London’s West End) United Arab Emirates and South Africa, where she also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing.

Waltrip and Slater are rumored to be dancing the Cha Cha Cha to Steppenwolf’s “Born To Be Wild” in the first week.

The judges of the show are renowned ballroom judge Len Goodman, dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and ballroom dancer and Emmy-Nominated choreographer Julianne Hough.

Season 19 will premiere on Monday, September 15.
