--Alfonso and Witney dance last.

They dance Contemporary to “Love Runs Out” by One Republic, sung live by Christina Grimmie.

“I love the drama of that dance, the intensity throughout it,” said Len.

“Sizzling chemistry, amazing partner work, and what I found extremely fascinating and wonderful is you two always read from the same page. You’re like two instruments playing exactly the same tune at the same time,” Bruno said.

“You showed us a whole new side of Alfonso tonight,” Carrie Ann said.

They got a 9 from Carrie Ann and 10s from the rest for 39 out of 40 for a combined 79 out of 80.

They dance Argentine Tango to “Love Runs Out” by One Republic.

“Tonight you can tell you’re in pain, but you’re a fighter and you can keep going.”

“We made it through one, we got one more to go,” Alfonso said, cringing in pain and shedding a few tears.

Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy dance fourth.

They dance Paso Doble to “Blame” by Calvin Harris.

“This is the most stressful week of the competition,” Janel said in the video recap of rehearsals. Maksim, Val’s brother, visited him to give him advice.

“That was over way too soon--that was so dramatic, that was so dynamic,” said Carrie Ann.

“Just enough of everything to keep me satisfied,” said Len.

“I felt like you guys were one--there was no separation,” said Julianne.

They got all 10s for a perfect 40 out of 40 score.

Bethany Mota and Derek Hough dance third.

They dance Samba to “I Want You Back” by the Jackson Five.

“I thought it was a nice solid Samba. I felt a little underwhelmed,” said Carrie Ann.

“It was a bit like cotton candy, it was light and fluffy, but a little sticky some places,” Len seid.

“But it was fun, and I liked the feel of the whole thing.”

They got 9s from all the judges for 36 out of 40.

Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd dance second.

They dance Jazz to “Tainted Love” by Marilyn Manson, sung by Soft Cell.

“I loved it, it was great entertainment,” said Julianne.

“I couldn’t have done what you’ve done,” Len said, referring to Tommy’s age.

They got 7s from all the judges for 28 out of 40.

“Your body contact was good the whole way through,” said Carrie Ann Inaba.

They got 9s from Julianne, Bruno, and Carrie Ann and a 10 from Len for a 37 out of 40.
