FRANKFURT, Germany—The audience honored the artists of Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company on its opening night in the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt am Main on March 30 with frequent applause and standing ovations.
Marianne Saurer and Petra Neugebauer, both co-owners of a dance school in Frankfurt, attended the New York-based company’s performance, who has as its mission the revival of China’s 5,000-year-old divinely inspired culture.
“Wonderful! Just exceptional and impressive! The grace of those women, absolutely enchanting,” Ms. Saurer said.
Her friend, Ms. Neugebauer couldn’t agree more: “I loved the show. Especially the Tibetan dance caught my eye.”
Shen Yun’s one-of-a kind orchestra, which blends East and West, produces a fresh an unexpected sound, according to Shen Yun’s website.
“The music spoke to me and the grace of the dancers was exceptional. The dancers’ movements and the techniques were fabulous,” Ms. Neugebauer said.
“What amazed me was the harmony among the group of dancers, as well as the expression they exhibited. … every dancer does not deviate from the other dancers’ movements. One could see that their dancing was internalized.”
