Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion will miss at least three games with a sprained left knee ligament, according to a report on the NBA’s website.
The 34-year-old sprained his left medial collateral ligament in the third quarter of Monday night’s 114–91 win over Portland. Marion is scheduled to miss the team’s Wednesday night matchup against Toronto and the two-game road trip to New York and Charlotte.
Marion will be re-evaluated next week.
Marion currently averages 8.0 points per contest in four starts for the 3-1 Mavericks.
The 14-year veteran is a four-time All-Star with career averages of 16.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. He’s been durable through his career, playing at least 75 of 82 games nine times in his career.
