A father-to-be died of a suspected heart attack at the age of 24---just days after he proposed to his girlfriend.
Aaron Thomas was slated to become a father again in the summer, and on the day after Christmas, he asked his partner to marry him, according to the Mirror.
But Thomas, who worked at FEI Foods in Winch Wen in Swansea, died Friday of what appears to have been a heart attack, according to Wales Online.
“He put every thought into everything he did,” Sallyann Evans, his girlfriend, told the Mirror. “Me and the children were loved and worshipped every day, our life was cut short with him, but I’m grateful we had this time rather than nothing with him at all.
“Aaron lit me up, and made me work as a person, two halves of the same heart,” she said. “He had a wonderful work ethic, very hardworking for our family, worked extremely hard, huge love and passion for motorsports and cars.”
She described him as a “fit guy” who went to the gym frequently.
It’s unclear why he had a heart attack at the age of 24.
A JustGiving page was set up to deal with the family’s expenses. “Aaron was a one of a kind kinda guy... full of banter, mischief, humor and deep down a huge heart,” the page reads.
