Home-based businesses in Cypress, Calif. that suffered revenue losses as a result of the ongoing pandemic are eligible for $2,500 grants through the city.

Funding will be provided to those who did not receive funds from the city’s previous Small Business Resiliency Grant program, which offered businesses financial relief if they were affected by the pandemic.

Home-based businesses must be operating in residential areas of Cypress to qualify, and must have reported at least a 20 percent revenue decline since 2019.

As well, business owners must have a current Cypress business license that’s been active since 2019.

Businesses must be for-profit and the primary source of income for the owner, with gross revenues at a minimum of $50,000 from the 2019 calendar year.

As per the grant application, home-based business owners must show proof of 2019 tax returns. Prior to receiving the grant, 2020 tax information may be required.

Applications must be submitted by March 12.
