CVS racist slur: A customer has sued CVS this week, claiming an employee made a racist slur on a receipt.

Hyun Lee, a 37-year-old woman from New Jersey, alleges that the CVS employee identified her as “Ching Chong Lee” on the receipt, reported ABC News. She was getting photos from the store in Egg Harbor.

“She got a receipt, and on the receipt instead of her customer name, Hyun Lin Lee, they put in the name Ching Chong Lee, which is a racial slur,” her attorney, Susan Chana Lask, told NJ-1015 radio.

Lask added that the move was “unlawful,” adding there are laws “that prohibit this kind of act. When you walk into a public place, such as CVS, you expect service and being treated like a human being. You don’t expect this kind of intolerable behavior.”

Her attorney told the station that when she contacted CVS, the company said the employee was not fired but wound undergo training and counseling.

“He should have been terminated immediately,” Lask told ABC. “She never got an apology. She never got anything further after she complained.”

“It appears that the employee is still there,” Lask added. “She will not return to that CVS until that employee is removed.”

Lee, who is of Korean descent, filed a $1 million discrimination suit against the pharmacy chain.

A CVS spokesman has said the store has a firm non-discrimination policy.
