German Shepherd “Rosie” is one of a kind: Not only does the puppy like her owner´s Dodge Neon a lot. The cute little one also loves to take a swim.
So, why not combine both? Off Rosie went and took the chance to jump through the window of her owner´s car when he left it with the ignition on, fell on the gearshift and the gas pedal - and off the car went with the dog inside, right into the neighboring pond!
The police found the incident to be so amusing that they tweeted Rosie was just “going with the flow of traffic” and a picture of the German Shepherd.
Her owner John Costello said in an interview with the TV network WFXT that he had started up his car when Rosie jumped in and hit the gearshift, then fell on the gas pedal. After “driving” the car right into a nearby pond the adventurous puppy managed to climb onto the back seats where bystanders managed to help her out of the vehicle. Neither the dog nor anybody else was injured.
Rosie is safe and sound now, but John Costello´s car that took a “dive” in the pond is a total loss.
