Crystal Bowersox, the runner-up on last season’s American Idol, is reportedly engaged to musician Brian Walker.
The 25-year-old Ohio native will get married to Walker next month, People magazine reports.
Bowersox made a lasting impression on judges when she did a rendition of the Janis Joplin songs “Me and Bobby McGee” and “Piece of My Heart.” Even though she was the favorite among judges, Bowersox came in second when viewers voted for Lee DeWyze in the final.
She is in the process of recording her first album. Her first single, a cover of Patty Griffin’s “Up to the Mountain (MLK Song),” was released this May and reached No. 47 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
