Olivia Wilde, the female lead in sci-fi thriller ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ directed by Jon Favreau and producers Alex Kurtzman ("Transformers" and "Star Trek"), Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, talked about her first role as a ‘woman.’
“My look in this movie is my favorite thing I’ve ever done,” Wilde told actor, director Jon Favreau during a private interview. “I think I’ve played a lot of girls,” Wilde explains.
In the wild wild west adventure film, Wilde plays Ella, ‘an elusive traveler’ who follows Jake Lonergan (Daniel Craig) around town and intuitively foresees the alien enemy.
“Ella, she’s a woman,” says Wilde about her character who she views as wise and grounded. “I’m proud of it,” she added about her role.
‘Cowboys & Aliens’ is a story set in late nineteenth century Arizona when the cowboy wild west reigned supreme. A mysterious gunslinger Jake Lonergan, shows up in the town of Absolution where Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford) is in charge. With no memory of his past and a mysterious shackle around his wrist, Lonergan is either the enemy or the only hope for salvation when Absolution gets invaded by extraterrestrials.
Olivia Wilde, best known for her appearances in "Tron: Legacy" and the TV drama "House" has been on the screen for over 10 years. The 27 year old is not only an actress and a model but she also serves as one of the board members for Artists for Peace and Justice and actively promotes health and education in Haiti.
The actess will also appear in another summer blockbuster comedy ‘Change Up.’ In the film, Wilde plays a smart, funny and attractive lawyer alongside co-stars Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman.
