Costa Rica faces Paraguay in a FIFA intentional friendly football (soccer) game on Wednesday, March 5.
The game is being played at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San Jose.
Kick-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. CST.
The game will be broadcast live in Costa Rica on Repretel and in Paraguay by TV Paravision.
Costa Rica is currently ranked 35th in FIFA’s international rankings, while Paraguay is ranked 49th. Costa Rica made it into the World Cup finals, which start later this year, while Paraguay did not.
In the initial stage of the World Cup, Costa Rica will play Uruguay (June 6), Italy (June 20) and England (June 24).
Costa Rica is coming off three losses in friendly matches (against South Korea, Chile, Australia) following the World Cup qualifying games. It’s last one was on January 26.
Paraguay last played in October in the World Cup qualifying, in which it beat Bolivia but lost to Colombia and Argentina.
Costa Rica is favored to win over Paraguay.
