FRANKFURT, Germany—Mr. Harald Bayer, a corporate consultant, was among the enthusiastic audience in the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt am Main that honored the Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company’s performance on Saturday afternoon, March 31, with frequent applause and a standing ovation.

New York-based Shen Yun has “a mission to reclaim and renew the true, divinely-inspired cultural heritage of China … They create an all-new production every year that seeks to offer the audience an experience it will always remember.”

“I have seen Shen Yun three times; year-after-year, and I find new things every year I watch it. It is absolutely amazing,” Mr. Bayer said.

“I keep being amazed by the lighting and electronic effects every year I see the show,” he added.

According to the Shen Yun website, “Animated backdrops transport the audience to another world. Projected behind the dancers, the hi-tech images lift the stage and set it amidst blossoming landscapes, deep forests, Mongolian prairies, or celestial paradises,” a feature often commented on my audience members.

“What is so amazing are the pictures on the backdrop, that brings reality to the show. For me, this is a gigantic undertaking.

“There is just no comparison to anything I have ever seen. It is unique how the artistic performances and the technical side are combined. I find this absolutely amazing,” Mr. Bayer said.

“I’m taking home a wonderful experience, a great day. The show was outstanding.

“Although I can’t see those in the background that design the choreography and develop everything necessary for this performance, I know that all are part of making the performance shine,” he said.
