A funnel cloud was spotted in eastern Contra Costa County in California on Thursday afternoon amid a tornado warning for the area.
The brief cloud dissipated, the National Weather Service said, without even touching the ground.
The service issued a tornado warning for portions of Glenn County in Northern California until 3:45 p.m. PT.
The warning means that a tornado or funnel cloud has been spotted.
People in both counties should take shelter for the time being.
