Coma request Bob Seger: A 79-year-old woman who awoke after spending years in coma said that she wanted to see Bob Seger in concert and two years later, she finally gets to.

“I want to go to a Bob Seger concert,” the Flint Township, Mich., resident said on May 7, 2011, according to CBS News. Those were the first words out of her mouth when she awoke after nearly five years

“Why would I say that?” Branan told MLive.com earlier this week. “Maybe my last thoughts were Bob Seger before I had my stroke.”

She elaborated: “I don’t know anything about what happened to me, only that I had a stroke and I didn’t remember anything for five-and-a-half years,” according to Fox 8 TV.

On Thursday evening, she will finally get to see Bob Seger as he goes on stage during “Rock And Roll Never Forgets” tour in Auburn Hills.

“(Her story) was definitely nothing I had heard before,” Ann Tenbrusch, of Punch Enterprises, which manages Seger, told the website. “I always want to try to help out with stories like that because Bob loves his fans. It’s such a cool story I just wanted to help out in any way I could.”

According to reports, Branan slipped into a coma after she fell down a flight of stairs in 2007. After awakening, she has been undergoing physical therapy and recovering her memory.

“I’m so excited I can hardly breathe,” she said. “What am I looking forward to the most? Hugging Bob Seger and giving him a big smooch.”

Local 12 television reported that Seger’s staff will send her a limousine to see the concert.
