Coast Guard Rescues 4 Passengers from 3 Cruise Ships Near San Diego

SAN DIEGO—Four separate passengers were evacuated by U.S. Coast Guard helicopter crews based in San Diego from three separate cruise ships off the Southern California coast during a 24-hour period beginning Friday night.

At 7:10 p.m. Friday, a 47-year-old woman suffering from a progressive acute illness was hoisted off the cruise ship Carnival Panorama, 100 miles south of San Diego, according to the Coast Guard.
