CM Punk recently insisted that he wouldn’t return to the WWE but Batista thinks that Punk will be back.

“I know for a fact that he loves professional wrestling,” Batista said. “I couldn’t see him taking a step down and wrestling for a lesser organization. Unless he spent some time in Japan, I just don’t see it.”

“I think eventually he'll come back. I think he belongs there. I think the fans really love him and miss him,” he added to Digital Spy.

“I think he loves it and misses it just as much. I’m really not sure why he left. ”He'll be back, I would think that he would be back. I think it would be kind of crazy if he didn’t go back.”

Punk was recently asked if he would return to wrestling. “No. No. No. Never ever,” he said. “Never ever ever.”

“They’re going to go crazy about that on Twitter,” he added. “They’re going to hold me to it, and yeah, whatever.”

Batista isn’t the only wrestler who believes that Punk will eventually return.

Alberto Del Rio said earlier this year

“Yeah, of course. He‘ll be back soon. I don’t know when, but he’ll back.”

Punk was reportedly “in pain” from wrestling and had a protracted struggle with management over a range of issues, including the matchups he felt he deserved.
