CM Punk Posts Photo with LA Kings Jersey; WWE Takes a Subtle Jab at Him on Facebook?

CM Punk recently posted a photo of him wearing a Los Angeles Kings jersey as part of a bet with the team’s mascot.

Punk, who is a lifelong Chicago resident and Blackhawks fan, posted the image on Twitter after his team lost to the Kings in the playoffs. The Kings were then sent to the Stanley Cup Finals, where they beat the New York Rangers in Game 1 on Wednesday.

“.@BaileyLAKings A bet is a bet, lion. Thanks for the sweater? Congrats to the western conference champions @LAKings,” he wrote.

CM Punk has been away from the WWE, with other wrestlers saying that he was in considerable pain.

This week, the WWE may have taken a shot at the former wrestling champ when they posted a “superstars who threw in the towel” image on CM Punk’s official Facebook page.

CM Punk was also mentioned a few days ago Stephanie McMahon during a segment that was focused on Daniel Bryan and his WWE World Heavyweight Title.

“Daniel Bryan did not hand over the WWE World Heavyweight Title at tonight’s Payback pay-per-view in Chicago. The segment with he, Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon ended before a decision could be made on the title. Brie ended up quitting, in the storylines obviously, and slapping Stephanie,” wrote Wrestling Inc in a report.

It added: “Stephanie left the ring before demanding the title from Bryan. During her promo at Bryan, a loud CM Punk chant broke out. Stephanie mentioned Punk and told Bryan, ‘The fans want you to quit just like CM Punk did.’”
