CM Punk has been praised by WWE star John Cena as Punk and wife AJ Lee are accused of treating a fan rudely.
Cena was interviewed in the latest issue of Fighting Spirit magazine, and asked about the inclusion of Punk in the WWE 2K15 game.
“Whether he’s here or not, he’s certainly left a mark in WWE,” Cena said.
“He’s got to be in the game, and it’s cool that that moment is not forgotten.”
Also in recent Punk news, longtime wrestling commentator Jim Ross said in a recent episode of The Ross Report that Punk could challenge Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31.
“It’s got to be somebody fresh and somebody who can be perceived by the paying public to have a chance at beating Lesnar,” Ross said.
“Have CM Punk return after the first of the year when he should be well-rested and feeling good and his battery’s recharged and have Lesnar meet Punk to headline WrestleMania 31. You got that Paul Heyman element in there because CM Punk says on TV, ‘I’m a Paul Heyman guy.’… And now you’ve got Brock Lesnar who is obviously a Paul Heyman guy… it makes for an interesting story if it were to happen.”
Meanwhile, a fan in Chicago said that he was at a Blackhawks game recently and standing in line to get food and looked over and saw Punk and Lee standing in line.
“Now I am obsessed with both Punk and AJ so i had a little heart attack. But what I kind of didn’t like is the only think I said to them was Hey Phil can I get a picture please and he smirked and totally ignored me looking around like he was spacing the hell out,” the fan said on Wrestling Forum.
“I did'nt say anything else so he didnt think I was a crazy fan but dude has Punk always been like this in public? It seems like hes got a stick up his ass and doesnt even want to acknowledge his fans that spent lots of money to get him super famous and rich. But at the same time I understand because I am sure he is totally sick and tired of always having people wanting photos with him and talk to him and asking him about coming back to WWE.
“I wasn’t going to ask him that but still he shouldve at least said hi or sorry not now.”
