A fire was reported a the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston, Florida, on Friday, according to a report from WPLGLocal10. The fire was extinguished shortly after, according to a fire official.
Some locals on Twitter said there was an “explosion” that caused the fire. One Twitter user said, “That’s not an accident hearing explosion in new cancer building.”
The fire was reported after 1 p.m. at a building that was under construction. Photos of the fire and smoke were shared on social media sites. It’s unclear what caused the blast. It’s also not clear if there were any injuries.
The fire prompted the facility to be evacuated. Firefighters were seen trying to douse the roof with water, said Local 10.
