The man struck at the women’s faces, shoulders, and chests with a kitchen cleaver before fleeing up nearby stairs. He then killed himself by jumping off a three-story building.

None of the victims died, five are hospitalized with two in serious condition, according reports citing the Guangzhou Daily.

This is the seventh attack of its kind in China in the past month and a half. Previous attacks targeted young school children; this latest attack confirms fears of more copycat attacks in the country.
