Christopher Cruz was arrested on Tuesday over the attack of motorcyclists on a man driving a SUV.
Alexian Lien, the SUV driver, was attacked by the gang in New York City after he hit a motorcyclist.
Lien was with his wife, Rosalyn Ng, and their 5-month-old child for a drive on Sunday when one driver–who police say was Cruz–cut him off and slammed on the brakes. Lien’s SUV bumped the back tire.
Several bikers then started to attack his vehicle and Lien fled.
A few of the bikers laid their motorcycles down before Lien bolted. He ran over several bikes.
The situation happened on the Henry Hudson Parkway.
Cruz, 23, suffered back injuries and was charged with reckless endangerment, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Police are still looking for other bikers involved in the attack, who actually assaulted Lien.
“They take their helmets and start to dent his car and apparently his tires were slashed with a knife. He gets in the car, he’s in the car with his wife, he drives, continues to drive to 178th Street between Wadsworth Avenue and the Henry Hudson where he is stopped again by a group of motorcyclists,” said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly. “He is taken out of the car. He is assaulted.”
Also, another biker, Allen Edwards, turned himself in later on Tuesday. He is said to be the man in the picture who hits the SUV with his helmet, smashing the driver side window.
