The Christmas number 1 for 2013 was won by Sam Bailey, a former prison officer who recently won X Factor.
“Being the 2013 Christmas Number 1 is absolutely amazing!” Bailey said. Her “Skyscraper” debut single won.
“It really is the icing on the cake and it means Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity and Together For Short Lives will benefit from the single which makes it extra special,” she said in a statement.
Bailey signed copies of her single for fans this week.
Las year’s X Factor winner James Arthur was on the top of the charts with his debut “Impossible” last week, reported BBC.
Radio 1 announced the Christmas number 1 for 2013 during a special edition of the Official Chart Show.
