Here’s a list of what’s open and closed on Christmas Eve, which lies on Thursday, Dec. 24.
Walmart said in a news release that it will be open until 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve, but it will remain closed on Christmas.
Walmart also said that it’s offering free shipping minimum-purchase threshold this Friday, which is typically $50, CNN reported.
Target is offering extended store hours to meet shopping needs, and it will close on Christmas Eve at 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. local time.
Target stores will open at 7 a.m. on the day.
It will be closed on Christmas.
The majority of major retailers are closed on Christmas.
Some hours may vary so call ahead of time:
Walgreens / Duane Reade – 24-hour locations are open; most stores open 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Rite Aid – 24-hour locations are open; or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
CVS – 24-hour locations are open; or 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Albertson’s – Open on Christmas
7-Eleven – Always open, 24 hours
Starbucks – Open Christmas Day
Denny’s – The restaurant chain will be open Christmas Day. Hours will vary.
McDonald’s – Most locations open Christmas
Circle K – Stores will be open on Christmas Day, with most operating with regular hours.
QuikTrip – Stores will be open Christmas Day, with most operating with regular hours.
Retailers like Walmart, Target, Kmart, Costco, and Best Buy won’t be open. Banks are closed.
