Christine Ohuruogu has won gold for the United Kingdom in the 400M race at the World Athletics Championship.

The BBC reported that Ohuruogu broke Great Britain’s old record in the race at 49.41 seconds.

Ohuruogu also won in Osaka in 2007 and took an Olympic gold and silver medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

“Christine Ohuruogu is very patient, she knows how to bide her time, she had conserved a lot of energy and it was all about the fantastic lean at the finish. Christine has got so many wins where she has capitalized on other people’s mistakes. It was a great race from Christine she should be very proud of this race,” said BBC pundit Michael Johnson.
