What a dangerous combination!
Powerhouse vocalists Ariana Grande and Christina Aguilera joined forces on the May 24 season finale of NBC’s “The Voice” to belt out Grande’s hit single, “Dangerous Woman.”
Grande, dressed in all-white, kicked off the performance by her lonesome self until Aguilera joined her halfway through the performance.
“Christina, take it away girl,” said Grande before Aguilera entered the stage surrounded by dancers.
The night before the grand event, both stars expressed excitement about sharing the stage.
“Excited to share the stage with @ArianaGrande on tomorrow night’s @NBCTheVoice finale,” Aguilera wrote on Twitter.

Aguilera’s duet with Grande was a last-minute setup, after Aguilera’s highly-anticipated virtual duet with a hologram of Whitney Houston was cancelled due to less-than-perfect technology by the Whitney Houston Estate.
“We are so appreciative of the opportunity for the Whitney Houston hologram to appear on NBC’s The Voice with a talent pairing as extraordinary as Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston,” said Pat Houston, executive of the estate in a released statement to Entertainment Tonight. “We were looking to deliver a ground breaking duet performance for the fans of both artists.”
“Holograms are new technology that take time to perfect, and we believe with artists of this iconic caliber, it must be perfect. Whitney’s legacy and her devoted fans deserve perfection. After closely viewing the performance, we decided the hologram was not ready to air.”
It was a winning night for Aguilera as she became the first female coach to produce a show-winner in Alisan Porter. The “Beautiful” singer acknowledged her historic feat in an interview with Us Weekly.
“It’s been a boys club since season one and I’m not one that hides my feelings or my opinions,” said Aguilera. “But I just have to say what it really proves to me this season by her taking that stage as a hardworking mom, with this gorgeous voice, because there are double standards out there and sometimes it’s not all fair, but tonight is a true victory for women and women that work hard and women that are mothers.”
Grande’s latest album, “Dangerous Woman” is available for purchase.
