Was a Christian girl thrown out of a window in Egypt by a Muslim mob?
Is the photo circulating online of the girl in mid-air after being thrown out of the window legitimate?
In late November, clashes in Egypt were taking place again, with a November 29 dispatch from the Associated Press describing the situation.
While the main force of the clashes were in Cairo and Giza, Muslim residents in an unidentified village in the southern Minya province attacked Christian homes as part of sectarian violence.
Ezzat Ibrahim, an activist who monitors minority rights, told AP that the Muslims burnt 10 houses and wounded 15 Christians, including a 15-year-old Christian girl who was thrown out of a third floor window.
Ibrahim said the attack was spurred by rumors of a love affair between a Christian man and a Muslim woman.
The photo circulating online, started by a blog that calls itself Sharia Unveiled, claims to be a picture of the woman falling through the air, accompanying the aforementioned story.
But the woman in the photo is actually Chinese, and the photo is from July 2011.
