The Los Angeles Clippers have acquired four-time All-Star point guard Chris Paul from New Orleans, according to a report on the NBA’s website.

The report, posted by TNT’s David Aldridge, has Paul going to Los Angeles in exchange for talented shooting guard Eric Gordon, center Chris Kaman, forward Al-Faroqu Aminu and an unprotected 2012 first round pick from Minnesota.

Also, according to the report, Paul will pick his option year for the 2012-13 season, giving the Clippers at least two years with fellow Clippers’ star forward Blake Griffin.

Paul has been one of the best point guards in the league since being drafted fourth overall by New Orleans in 2005. Named to the All-NBA first team in 2008 the 6'0” Paul has been the league leader in assists per game twice, while the defensive wizard has been the league leader in steals four times in his six seasons in the league.
